Police officers were caught on camera trying to extort authentic_cyclist, a cyclist exploring West African cities, on a bridge in Lagos on March 28.

The cyclist shared the video, which has since gone viral, on Friday.

Two officers had asked for a drone flight permit before moving on to ask for bribes.

“That your pocket is full. Give us something for our own pocket. As you see us working on this bridge, we are looking for our own pocket, too,” one of the police officers told the cyclist.

“The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Adegoke Fayoade, mni, has, therefore, directed the Commanding Officer of 49 PMF Akodo, from whose squadron the police officers were duly posted to the bridge, to produce the men for appropriate disciplinary action,” he wrote.
