Simileoluwa Ogunsusi, an Abuja-based contractor, has accused Green Africa Airways, a Nigerian airline company, of failing to refund her money months after she cancelled her flight with them.

Ogunsusi told FIJ that she cancelled her flight in April when the airline company kept rescheduling her flight.

She stated that she booked a flight with Green Africa Airways for N67,000 in the first week of April and was scheduled to travel on April 24. However, her flight from Abuja to Benin and back did not happen because the airline did not keep to their words, she said.

“They changed my itinerary more than 10 times from the day I booked my flight,” Ogunsusi told FIJ. “They kept changing the time and eventually changed the date for both my to and fro to another day.”

The contractor said she cancelled her flight after the recurring disappointments and requested a refund.

“Green Africa Airways told me to wait for 20 working days, but I have continued to wait since April. Now, June is about to end,” she stated.

When FIJ called Green Africa Airways, their call representative said Ogunsusi had been long overdue for a refund.

“She should exercise patience. I will resend her name for a refund,” he said.
