The Foundation for Investigative Journalism (FIJ) is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the following eight positions:

CONTENT ENGAGEMENT MANAGER

Key Job Description: The successful candidate will lead the development and promotion of FIJ’s vertical products, such as trainings and events, by actively engaging with FIJ’s unique online and offline audience and community.

The role involves a combination of some elements of audience engagement, product development and business development.

Remuneration: Competitive

Tenure: One year. Renewable based on performance.

PROGRAMME MANAGER

Key Job Description: The successful candidate will drive the programme team, drive the charge for new projects and programmes, and ensure complete implementation of programme deliverables.

Remuneration: Competitive and negotiable

Tenure: One year. Renewable based on performance.

PROGRAMME OFFICER

Key Job Description: The successful candidate will identify relevant opportunities and coordinate the design and development of projects for the identified opportunities; develop and ensure timely submission of grant proposals, concept notes, reports, work plans and other relevant programme documentation; and ensure that project implementation is in accordance with the established work plan, timeline, and proposed outcome.

Remuneration: Competitive and negotiable

Tenure: One year. Renewable based on performance.

PROGRAMME INTERN

Key Job Description: The successful candidate will support the programme officer and programme manager.

MONITORING AND EVALUATION OFFICER

The successful candidate will develop a monitoring and evaluation framework for the organisation and its projects; lead in-depth analytics of our audience and other information important to investors/donors; and work with the programme team to ensure the use of their insight to develop projects.

Remuneration: Competitive and negotiable

Tenure: One year. Renewable based on performance.

IN-HOUSE WEB DEVELOPER AND TECH SUPPORT

Key Job Description:A full-time web developer and tech solutions provider to help fight back cyber-attacks, preserve the uninterruption of our online presence, provide internal tech support and training for the team, and develop IT and security policies for the organisation.

Remuneration: Competitive and negotiable

Tenure: Permanent.

HEAD, ADMIN/HR:

Key Job Description: To ensure that all conditions are in place to catalyse the success of each of these roles; to develop and implement hiring and other staff policies.

Remuneration: Competitive and negotiable

Tenure: Permanent.

FINANCE AND ADMIN INTERN

Key Job Description: The successful candidate will support financial and administrative operations and ensure smooth financial processes.

Tenure: Permanent

With the exception of the interns, previous experience in a similar role is COMPULSORY; inexperienced applicants need not apply.
