Abisola Oguntonade, owner of Bibi’s Clover, an online clothing store, has refunded the sum of N4,800 to Chika Mercy, a customer she delivered a poorly sewn gown to on Tuesday.
Mercy told FIJ that Oguntonade made the refund on Saturday night, hours after FIJ reported how the clothes vendor refused to rectify the gown’s defect and insisted that Mercy repair the error herself.
Speaking to FIJ on Saturday, Mercy said, “She has refunded it. She sent it through her sister’s account. I am so grateful. I did not know where else to turn to.”

Oguntonade also texted FIJ to confirm she had made the refund at 10:14 pm.
Mercy had on Saturday, November 19, 2022, paid for a gown she saw on Oguntonade’s Instagram page, but when the gown arrived three days later, she found that it differed from what she had selected.
She told FIJ she also noticed loose stitches done to repair tears on what was supposed to be a new gown.
