Pelumi Oludehinwa, a 13-year-old girl, was raped to death by four men in Erun-Ona community, Ilaje, Ondo State, in late January.
Speaking with FIJ, Jolaade Oludehinwa, the victim’s father said the teenager had died about four days before he was notified.
“They called me that my child was sick. When I got there, I told her mother to bring her. Few minutes later, she told me that the child was raped. I was later informed by the neighbours that she had died about four days earlier”.

The case has been reported to Idiogba police station and Igbokoda police station. The state’s police spokesperson, Funmilayo Odunlami, told FIJ the case is being investigated.
Attempts to contact Oludehinwa’s mother were futile as her line was not reachable at press time.
